Rich Howells has created an amazing multi-platform website featuring the best of NEPA arts and entertainment. Established in September 2014, NEPA Scene is...well, it's best to just turn to the About page:
NEPA Scene covers everything from music and movies to food and books, with an emphasis on artists and entertainers located in or traveling through Northeastern Pennsylvania, though its coverage area extends to Philadelphia, New York, and New Jersey. Instead of simply reporting on creative people, the site also works directly with them to share content and spread the word about everything that’s happening in Scranton, Wilkes-Barre, and beyond.
Rich Howells and NEPA Scene are deeply involved in the NEPA arts and entertainment community, not simply reporting on events but actually promoting and sponsoring them - including an open mic at the Woodlands every Tuesday (registration begins at 6:30, performances at 7:30.)
